National Film Award winning music director and popular singer Kumar Bishwajit is spending busy time with the music direction for two new films. The films are Sohanur Rahman Sohan’s ‘Jedi’ and Prasun Rahman’s ‘Dhaka Trilogy’. Meanwhile, he has completed the recording of a song for the film ‘Jedi’. For the first time, veteran singer Bari Siddiqui lent his vocal to a song, whose tune and music arrangement have been done by Kumar Bishwajit. Penned down by Prasun Rahman, the song was rendered on Saturday evening. Kumar Bishwajit said about the song, “Bari Siddiqui has sung any song with my tune and music arrangement for the first time; he sang very well. I hope that the song will convulse the hearts of the audience.”
On the other hand, Kumar Bishwajit lent his vocal to the theme song for the Chittagong Vikings. Current runner up Chittagong Vikings is going to participate in the third edition of the Bangladesh Premiere League (BPL), which will begin from November 22. To inspire the players of Chittagong Vikings, Kumar Bishwajit—who also hails from Chittagong, sang the song. The theme song is written by National Film Award winning lyricist Kabir Bakul, while Ibrar Tipu has done the tune and music arrangement.
Kumar Bishwajit shared the experience of the work, “I think the song has completely fulfilled the demand of a perfect theme song. The song’s lyric, tune and its singing style have that strength and inspiration within it. Besides, it made me feel really wonderful while singing the song as my home is also in Chittagong.”
To note, noted TVC-maker and director Afzal Hossain will make a music video with this song, which will go on air on different TV channels soon. l
