RANGPUR: Conducting more research on the War of Liberation and available mineral and archeological resources can establish true history of the nation and accelerate the pace of development in Rangpur region, reports BSS. Academicians, researchers, literary personalities and leaders of Rangapur Gabeshona Parishad (RGP) expressed the opinion at the general meeting of the newly elected (2015-2016) 48-member central executive committee of RGP here on Friday. President of the central committee of RGP and former Treasurer of Begum Rokeya University Professor Mozammel Haque presided over the meeting held at Rangpur Public Library auditorium in the city. General Secretary of RGP Advocate MA Basher Tipu delivered welcome speech in the meeting participated by its Presidents and General Secretaries of five district units of greater Rangpur region. Language Movement Veteran Mir Anisul Haque Payara, Vice-president of RGP Monwar Hossain, its Presidents and General Secretaries from Nilphamari, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat and Kurigram district units also spoke. The meeting discussed organisational issues of the reputed organisation that plays vital role in conducting research activities on different fields of Rangpur, including the War of Liberation and resources, for a long time to enhance development in the area.
