Three promising actors of the current generation, Manoj Kumar, Shamim Hasan Sarkar and Nadia Afrin Mim have acted together in television drama for the first time. The trio will be seen sharing screen in a romantic comedy tele-drama titled ‘Mishti Dushtu Prem’ directed by Sardar Rokon.
With the story written by Choyon Deb, the tele-drama has been made for a satellite TV channel for airing in the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
DhakaLive has news that the two-day shooting of ‘Mishti Dushtu Prem’ took place in various locations of Uttara in the capital recently.
In the tele-drama, Manoj and Shamim will be seen playing the roles of Ashfaq and Reza respectively, while Mim will be portraying the character of Tisha.
Regarding acting in the drama, Manoj said, “The script of ‘Mishti Dushtu Prem’ is really good as well as the storytelling has depth. We three have tried our best to depict the story through our respective performances according to the situation. Overall, it was a fantastic project.”
Mim said about the drama, “Director Sardar Rokon always works in an organised manner. I worked under his direction earlier too. As this was a romantic comedy drama, I really enjoyed working in it.”
While Manoj and Mim have earlier worked under Rokon’s direction, this is the first time that Shamim has worked in any project with this director.
“This was my first time working under Sardar Rokon’s direction. He is a cool-headed director who knows how to bring out the desired performance from the artistes. I can say undoubtedly that three of us did a great job together,” Shamim said.
