Benajir Ahmed new BoT chairman of NSU

Benajir Ahmed, one of the founder life members of North South University (NSU), and an eminent industrialist, has been elected unanimously as the chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of NSU, recently. After completing his post graduation degree in Accounting from Dhaka University, freedom fighter Benajir Ahmed started his career as a businessman. He is the Managing Director and CEO of Raymond Group of Industries, says a press release. He is the current secretary general of Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB). In 2001, he served as the president in the country’s leading apex organisation, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI). In 1996-97, Lion Benajir, served as the District Governor of 315 B-1, Bangladesh of Lions Clubs International.
RU student takes part in ‘World University Games-2019’

Shirin Akter, 8th times fastest women of the country and final year student of Islamic History and Culture department at Rajshahi University (RU) is going to participated in the “World University Games-2019” in Napoli, Italy with another participant of Jessore University of Science & Technology (JUST). 13,000 university students from 193 countries including Bangladesh will participate in the championship into different events from July 3 to 14 in Italy. The decision was taken from a meeting of the Inter-University Sports Association of 27 public universities while Vice-chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University (BAU) and also Bangladesh University Council (BUC) president Professor Dr Kamal Uddin Ahamed was in the chair on June 26.
