Popular actor Sayeed Babu, who enthrals the audience on both small and big screen, was hugely admired for his negative role in his latest film ‘Poramon 2’. Now, with the aim to portray more challenging characters in the future projects, the actor will be seen playing a unique role in an upcoming film ‘Nodorai’ (Dare to Surf) directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu.
Inspired by the true story from the life of a woman surfer of Bangladesh, the script of the film ‘Nodorai’ is written by Indian scriptwriter Shamol Sengupta. The film is going to be the country’s first full-length Bengali film about surfing.
DhakaLive has news ‘Nodorai’ has officially unveiled its new poster and teaser on the eve of International Surfing Day recently.
Regarding the film, Sayeed Babu said, “This is for the first time that a film dedicatedly about surfing has been made. Keeping the international standard in mind, Tanim Rahman Angshu has directed the film.”
“In the film, I am playing a role of a surfer. It was a very challenging role. To play out the character, I had to learn surfing, and also I learnt the local dialect of Chattogram.”
“I am optimistic about the film that the audience will like it. With the love and respect to the audience’s liking, I want to act regularly in the films,” the actor added further.
Along with Sayeed Babu, the film ‘Nodorai’ stars Sunerah Binte Kamal and Sariful Razz, among others, in different roles. Most of the film’s shooting took place in Cox’s Bazar. The film will likely have its countrywide release in the month of October this year.
