A delegation of Commonwealth Secretariat (COMSEC) yesterday said the progress in prevention of early marriage, controlling population and establishing gender equity in Bangladesh is satisfactory, reports BSS. The delegation led by COMSEC consultant Dr. Daniella De Vito made the appreciation in a meeting with Jatiya Sangsad Speaker and Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Chairperson Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at her parliament office. The other member of the delegating was COMSEC team leader Evelyn Ogwal, said an official release. The delegation lauded women empowerment and women leadership in Bangladesh and said other countries can use the experience of Bangladesh many field. The future plan of COMSEC to ensure gender parity in different countries.
