An exercise on “protecting Rohingya people from the natural disaster” was held in Rohingya camp area under Ukhia Upazila of the district yesterday, said a press release of ISPR. The aim of the exercise, organized by 10th Infantry Division of Bangladesh Army, is to protect Rohingya people, who were ousted by the Myanmar military from their habitats, now living in Ukhia and Teknaf hill areas in the district.

State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Enamur Rahman, Principal Staff Officer of Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Md Mahfuzur Rahman, Senior Secretary of Disaster Management Ministry Md Shah Kamal and higher officials, including Area Commander of 10TH Infantry Division Major General Md Main Ullah Chowdhury, were present.
