Biman Bangladesh Airlines added its 14th aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 to its fleet yesterday. The national flag carrier brought the aircraft on lease from Kuwait’s Alfaco Company that arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka around 3:25am yesterday, Biman’s spokesperson Shakil Meraj told the news agency.
Biman will add another Boeing 737-800 aircraft on lease next month while the Boeing Company is scheduled to deliver two more brand new Dream liners 787 in July and September next, he said. With the new addition, Biman fleet number has reached to 14 with four Boeing 777-300 ER, two Boeing 787 and two Boeing 737-800 ER by its own and three Boeing 737-800 ER and three Dash 8 Q 400 on lease.
