A man was hacked to death at Nurapara area in Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh yesterday. The victim was identified as Alamgir Hossain, 35, son of Hanis Khan of village Busabari in Gafargaon.Quoting local people as saying, Md Fayzur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Pagla Police Station in Gafargaon said there had been an altercation between Alamgir and Mukbul Hossain of the same locality over dues on Tuesday night.

Following the feud, Mukbul and his men locked in an altercation with Alamgir when he was sitting at a tea-stall in Nurapara area yesterday noon. At one stage of altercation, Mukbul and his men hacked Alamgir indiscriminately, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
