Three workers of a shoe factory suffered burn injuries in a fire at Bangshal in the old city early yesterday, reports BSS. The injured, Alauddin, 20, son of Nurul islam, of Narsingdi, Sujan Mia, 20, son of Hares Mia, of Kishoreganj, and Robin Hossain, 19, son of Jamal Uddin, of Brahmanbaria are now undergoing treatment at Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The fire broke out at Maximus Shoe Factory at 86/1, Siddiq Bazar under Bangshal Police Station around 3.30am and three of its employees suffered burn injuries, police and local sources said. Employees of the factory and locals brought the fire under control minutes after the fire originated, the sources said. Alauddin, suffered 40 per cent burn injuries, while Rabin 17 per cent and Sujan suffered burn injuries in legs and some parts, residential surgeon Partha Sangkar Paul of DMCH burn unit told BSS.
