Members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two people on charges of possessing drugs during the on-going anti-narcotics drives in Kuratali area of Khilkhet in the capital on Thursday

The arrested were identified as Abul Bashar, 23, and Sheju Miah, 24. During the drives, a team of the DMP police recovered 70 kilograms of hemp and 400 grams of heroin from their possession, police said.

Besides, the police team also seized a microbus that used for transporting the contraband drugs. A case was filed in this connection.
