20 gold bars seized in Sylhet

Customs officials recovered gold worth an estimated Tk 1.15 crore from a Biman Bangladesh Airlines plane at Sylhet Osmani International Airport yesterday. Flight BG-248 came from Dubai around 9am, said Ahsan Ullah, deputy commissioner of customs.

Seminar on food today

A national seminar titled ‘Development target of the country: Right to Food & Nutrition issue’ will be held at CIRDAP Auditorium in the capital today. Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder will be present at the seminar as the chief guest, while chairman of National Human Rights Commission Kazi Reazul Hoque as special guest, a press release said.
