Teachers and students of Rajshahi University (RU) demanded speedy execution of the court delivered verdict and immediate arrest of the fugitive killers in connection with the murder of Professor Dr Rezaul Karim Siddiquee of English of the university. Prof Rezaul, also well known as Mukul, was stabbed to death in Shalbagan area of the city while he was on his way to the university on April 23, 2016.

They raised their demand at a programme marking the 3rd death anniversary of Rezaul Karim Siddiquee (RKS) at the university. Marking the day, the English dept organised a rally on the campus. They brought out a rally from in front of Shahidullah Arts faculty building around 10am yesterday and parading different roads of the campus.

Department chairman Prof Abdullah Al Mamun presided over the programme while Prof Dr Sakhawat Hosaain, Professor Md Jahurul Islam and Prof Dr Sahidur Rahman among others spoke at the programme
