Bangladesh former fast bowler Nazmul Hossain formally put a full stop on his cricket career to provide his full focus on cricket coaching.
In the just-concluded Dhaka Premier League (DPL), Nazmul as bowling coach guided Legends of Rupganj, who gave a tough fight with the pace of Abahani Limited to win their maiden title of the country’s prestigious cricket league.
The 31-year-old represented Bangladesh in two Tests along with 38 one-day internationals and four Twenty20 internationals from where he scalped 50 wickets.
Nazmul got his call-up from the national fold as soon as he finished his Under-19 cricket career. He debuted against India in Test when he was at 17. He bowled 26 overs, where he conceded 114 runs to claim two wickets.
But he did not sustain in Test so long bowing to his injury. He was considered as an ODI bowler. He got opportunity to play ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa in place of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who was ruled out of the side with injury.
