Police have foiled an attempt of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal to hold a rally in the city yesterday demanding the unconditional release and proper treatment of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal, the youth wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), called a human chain programme at sadar road of the city at 10:30am demanding unconditional release of party Chairperson Khaleda Zia

A large number of police personnel were deployed before the programme.  When Juba Dal activists arrived at the spot, police cordoned off the protesters and forced them to leave the place.  Later, Juba Dal men held a programme on their office premises.
