Police recovered the throat-slit body of a van puller from Bottola Bazar area in Muktagacha upazila of Mymensingh yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Shahjahan Saju, 25, son of late Halim Uddin of village Garbajail in Muktagacha.

Quoting family sources, Mohammad Ali Mahmud, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station said Saju, father of a child went out of his house with his van on Saturday and did not return home.

Local people found the body of Saju near a pond in Bottola Bazar area in the morning and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said.

The killing might have taken place over previous enmity and police is investigating into the killing, said the OC.
