Singer-turned-actor Tahsan Rahman Khan’s debut film ‘Jodi Ekdin’ is going to be released in the prominent movie theatres across the country today on the eve of International Women Day. Tahsan, who played a number of remarkable roles on small screens, was never seen on the big screen. ‘Jodi Ekdin’, directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, will mark the beginning of his film career.
In the film, Tahsan plays the central character opposite Tollywood film actress Srabanti Chatterjee. Bangladeshi actor Taskeen Rahman, who grabbed the attention of the audience with his role in his debut film ‘Dhaka Attack’, will be seen playing an important role in this film.
The actor said the family-oriented film would present him in a whole new avatar. “Those who think they couldn’t take their family to watch a film in cinema halls should go and watch this movie with their families,” he added.
“If we can bring back people to movie theatres, new cinema halls will be built across the country and the golden age of films will return,” he said. The actor also said he would go to Star Cineplex (Bashundhara), Madhumita, Jamuna Blockbusters, Balaka Cine World and Shyamoli Cinema Hall in the capital at different times and watch his maiden film with the viewers.
