Ayesha Rahman along with Tazia Akhter and Suborna Islam have been reported for their suspected bowling action in the ongoing 10th Women’s National Cricket League for the 2018-2019 season in Cox’s Bazar.
Ayesha, locally known as Suktara was playing for Khulna Division, Tazia Akhter also for Khulna and Suborna Islam for Dhaka in the 50-over tournament. Nazmul Abedin Faheem, team operating manager of the BCB women’s wing, made the disclosure to The Independent over mobile phone from Cox’s Bazar yesterday.
“They have been reported for their suspected bowling action in the ongoing Women’s National Cricket League,” said Nazmul Abedin Faheem.
“They will soon back to Dhaka to attend a bowling session under the BCB Bowling Action Review Committee (BBARC),” Faheem told this reporter.
Among them, Ayesha- basically is top-order batsman and bowls occasionally off-spinner, was reported at international cricket in 2012-2013 for her bowling action. But she did not work on her remodeling work. Since then, she did not bowl in international cricket.
It is learnt from the BBARC that they will arrange a video session for them to frame up their bowling action. Then, they will analysis their action where are their problems lie. The session will be held on BCB Academy ground on March 6.
