Theatre troupe Natyajon is going to stage its new play ‘Muntasir’ on March 8 at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in Segun Bagicha of the capital.
Written by Natyacharya Selim Al Deen, the play, which is the 10th production of Natyajon, will be brought to the stage under the director of Selim Kamal.
In the play, Muntasir, the central character, eats everything whatever he finds around him like an omnivorous animal. Everyone is now frustrated by his cannibalistic attitude. At one point, he is taken to a hospital. After a surgery, a huge number of stuffs are taken out one after another from his belly.
The cast of this musical comedy play includes Tabibul Islam Babu, Bijan Sarkar, Sheikh Khair, Selim Kamal, Mohsin Shamim, Shahin Shibli, Ovi Pramanik, Shariful Islam, Al Imran, Roxi, Asha, Maya, Adif and Shanta, among others.
However, Dhaka Theatre staged the play with the title ‘Muntasir Fantasy’ earlier. This time, Natyajon is set to stage the play as Dhaka Theatre is not bringing the play on the stage for a long time.
