Daffodil alumni reunion held in London

The reunion of Daffodil International University alumni association was held in London on Sunday, says a press release. Baroness Pola Manzila Uddin, member of the UK House of Lords, present in the programme as chief guest while Dr Sabur Khan, chairman of Daffodil Family was present as  special guest. Dr Donald Slowan, chairman of  Oxford Cultural Connective, SM Zakaria Haque, commercial counselor of Bangladesh High Commission in UK and Dr Azizur Rahman, Bangladeshi originated British businessman were present as the guest of honour in the programme. More than 100 alumni and their family members attended the event and met their friends and peers.

Training workshop held at BSMRAU

A training workshop on “Genome Editing for the Development of Climate Resilient Novel Blast Resistant Wheat Variety’’ was held on Monday  at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) auditorium, says a press release. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Giashuddin Miah inaugurated the prgramme attending as chief guest. Treasurer of the university Prof Tofayel Ahmed was present as special guest. Prof Dr SophienKamoun, group leader of SophienKamoun group, UK and Prof  Dr Nicholas Jose Talbot, group leader of Nick Talbot group and TSL Executive Director Norwich Research Park, UK, were present as invited trainers at the workshop. Prof Dr Tofazzal Islam, of Biotechnology dept, chaired the technical session. More than 50 researchers attended the workshop.
