Soumya, Mosaddek vow to play well in Africa tour

Bangladesh pace all-rounder Soumya Sarkar said that he is making his habituation through changing the mindset so that he could perform well in any condition he plays.  “We’ll not get the similar weather or wicket at African continent. So, I’m trying to change my mindset so I could well perform there,” Soumya Sarkar said.
“National team and ‘A team’ are different. But I’m preparing myself for the series. The more we play the more we will learn and that will be very good for our personal performance,” Sarkar told media during the first day practice session of Bangladesh-A team, who will fly for South Africa on October 14. After the completion of South Africa phase, the second string team will travel to Zimbabwe to play two different format games on October 30.
“I’ll try to amend my mistake throughout the matches. Along with that, I will try to identify and work on in which area I needed to improve,” he added.
The pace all-rounder said that he is not worried for his new job but he wants to play his natural game.   “I always enjoy playing cricket. We’ll go to South Africa and try to enjoy my batting with the team. I don’t think much about my new job as vice-captain of the team. I’ll try to enjoy the game alongside my batting whatever I do my performance,” he pointed out.
Soumya’s performance in the last India tour was not up to the mark. But this time he said that he is giving more time in his practice for the next tour so that he could execute well. “I try to forget what is happened on the stroke of India tour. I’m doing my practice for the next tour with apt attention so that I could do well there. I’m focusing more on those areas where I could not do well in the last series,” he said.
“But the tour comes so near and so we will not get more time to amend our errors. So, we will do our normal practice. I’m trying to take a good preparation for myself,” he also added. Satkhira-born Soumya was included as pace all-rounder in the national team ahead of the World Cup Down Under. But he has been seen more as batsman. The pacer-turn-batsman said, “I’ve plans to bowl on regular basis. As I’m a bowling all-rounder so I always give emphasis on bowling. I used to get the opportunity to bowl more in the past. But I got less opportunity for bowling now. So I will try to improve my bowling whenever I
got chance.”
On the other hand, batting sensation Mosaddek Hossain Saikat was called for ‘A team’ for the first time. He hogged the limelight through smashing century one after another in the National Cricket League. “I just played two round matches of the NCL. Before the start of the third round, selectors phoned me that I’m going to African tour with ‘A team’. So, I couldn’t play the next round match. I’m moving forward with the plan, where I had wishes to break the record of Kumara Sangakkara, hitting another century,” said Saikat.
“I’ll try to keep the continuation of the domestic league’s performance forgetting the missing chance. I’ll try my utmost best to play if I get chance,” Saikat
also said. Citing the names of Australia, England and West Indies, he said that he had played in that condition with Under-19.  “I earlier played in the condition of Australia, England and West Indies with U-19. I’ve a bit of experience in overseas’ wickets. I’d a break in the meantime. I think it’ll be a bit challenging for me. I have to cope with the condition first and then try to perform well,” he thought.
