Salman orders release of 850 Indian prisoners

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made two major announcements on yesterday during his trip to India. The orders included release of Indian prisoners from the jials of Saudi Arabia and increasing the Hajj quota for Indian pilgrims in the country .

Raveesh Kumar, the official spokesperson for India's Ministry of External Affairs, tweeted that the Saudi Crown Prince had ordered the release of 850 prisoners lodged in the jails of his country Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (also known as MBS) also announced an increase in the Hajj quota to 200,000 for Indian pilgrims at the request of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

With the declaration, the about 200,000 Indian nationals can perform the Hajj in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
