Detective Branch (DB) of police on Tuesday arrested four persons for selling fake question papers of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from the city’s Fakirapool area.
“We arrested four criminals for their involvement with selling fake question papers of SSC along with one laptop and five mobile phone sets in front of Jonaki Cinema Hall in Fakirapool area around 2 pm on Tuesday,” additional police commissioner (DB) Abdul Baten told a press briefing at DMP media centre here yesterday.
Regarding the gang of question paper leak, he said, “The gangs have long been involved in leaking question papers of different public examinations such as SSC and HSC alongside with question papers of various recruitment tests, medical and university admission tests.”
The arrestees have long been involved in leaking question papers after opening different groups such as SSC all Board, SSC all Board 2nd, SSC all board 4th, SSC all Board 6th, Result change bd and porasuna Tip on social networking sites including Imo, YouTube, Messanger, Group Messanger, Facebook, and Whatsapp , he informed.
There are more than 300 to 500 members in each of the groups, he said, adding that the arrestees would charge Taka 500 to Taka 30,000 from the group members for leaking fake question papers on social networking sites.
A case was filed with Motijheel Police Station to this end.
