CoU MCJ dept celebrates 4th founding anniv

Comilla University's Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Department celebrated its 4th department day on Thursday through different programmes on the campus. Marking the day, teachers and students of the department brought out a colourful procession from academic building, led by CoU vice-chancellor Professor Emran Kabir Chowdhury. A seminar was held at the academic building of the university. The programme was addressed by CoU VC as the chief guest where former Chief Information Commissioner of the government Dr M Golam Rahman presented the keynote paper. Later, two websites- www.mcjcou.com an informative site of the department and www.mcjnews.com a practical news portal, were launched at the function. Moreover, prize giving ceremony and cultural programme were held.

Freshers’ reception held at IU

 The Environmental Science and Geography department organised a freshers’ reception ceremony at the conference room of Applied Science and Technology faculty of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Tuesday. Prof M Mamun of Economics department was present here as the chief guest while Prof Dr SM Mostofa Kamal, dean of Science Faculty and also chairman of the department was in the chair. IU syndicate member Prof Mahbubar Rahman, the university student adviser Prof Poresh Chandra Barman, Acting Proctor Anisur Rahman attended here as the special guests and among others were addressed here.
