The government is going to celebrate the ‘Meena Day’ tomorrow with a view to promoting the government’s pledge to prevent school dropout and ensure hundred percent enrollments of children in the schools. The day will be celebrated on October 10 with the theme ‘Konna Shishu Biye Dyie Koro Nako Bhul, Protyekti Shishu Jeno Ek Ekti Phul.” The Meena Day has already played significant role in important issues like reducing child marriage, disparity in distribution of food members and child labour. The directorate of primary education will organise a programme at the LGED auditorium at Agargaon in the capital on the day, where Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman is expected to present as the chief guest. Lawmaker and singer Mamtaz Begum, cricketers Sakib Al Hassan and Salma Khatun will take part in the discussion.
