A man was killed allegedly by his uncle and cousin following dispute over homestead demarcation in Kishoreganj Sadar on Wednesday night. The deceased was Rukan Uddin, 30, of Birdampara village in Kishoreganj Sadar. Police and local sources said there was a long standing dispute between Rukan and his uncle Jashim Uddin over the demarcation. As a sequel to the disagreement they locked in an altercation on Wednesday at about 7: 30pm and, at one stage, Jashim and his sons swooped on Rukan and hacked him indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. Rukan’s wife Jesmin Akter was also injured as she came to save her husband. Later, she was admitted to Kishoreganj 250 bed General Hospital in a serious condition. Mir Musharaf Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Kishoreganj Sadar said the body was handed over to family after post-mortem examination. Filing of murder case is under process, he added.
