With the expectation of displaying better performance, a 35-member Bangladesh football squad including 23 players will leave Dhaka today at 11am for Bishkek to play their away match of the World Cup qualifying round. The match will be held on October 13 at the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek.
But the Bangladesh national team head coach Fabio Lopez who did not want to express his specific target said, “With due respect to the opponents, I am sure, our team will be able to show improved performance at Kyrgyzstan,”
Lopez when explaining about his team’s condition at a news conference yesterday at the BFF Bhaban , said, “The condition of the team is good, everybody is okay, there is no problem at the moments.” About a query of his experiment with the players as he was trying them in different positions rather than their usual positions, Lopez said, “In fact, I watch the players’ skills, performance and the capacity, of course I tried to bring some changes. They are professional, I don’t thing they will feel any problem.
Lopez when asked about his strategy against a strong Kyrgyzstan  side, said, “You know our main striker is not in the team, Jibon (Nabib Newaz Jibon), a new blood is playing in his (Emily) place. He is performing well. We will decide the strategy on the match day.”
Lopez replying to a query said, “You know the difference between Kyrgyzstan and us, I think we are zero to them in comparison of strength, but we are not going to lose, everybody want to win. What will be the result I don’t know, nobody knows what would be happened.”
Mamunul, captain of the Bangladesh team said that they worked hard and took all out preparation for the match. “Everybody is serious to get a chance in the squad, so they have been working hard in every training session. So I can say we have good preparation.”
Mamunul about their training under the newly appointed Italian coach said, “In fact, very first he worked with our defending line, as we are usually hurry to go on attack just not care about the defense line. We did not work earlier on this area perfectly.”
About the coach’s experiment of changing the players’ position captain said, “Actually he wants to make me easy to work in every place. If we can absorb his style as soon as possible, it would be better. We are learning something better.” Mamunul, replying to another query said, “We will have to play with counter attack strategy, no attacking as we played at our home ground.”
