HSTU admission test results published

The results of the first-year honors admission test of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) under the 2018-19 academic session were published on Saturday noon. A total of 1,12,293 candidates appeared for 2,005 seats of 20 subjects under eight faculties of the university. The admission tests were held from January 2o to 23. HSTU Vice-chancellor Prof M Abul Kashem also the convener of the admission test committee and its member secretary, among others were present during the results publishing ceremony. Freshers’ reception held at SEU

A freshers’ reception for the newly admitted students of Electrical & Electronic Engineering Department (EEE) for Spring Semester 2019 under the School of Science & Engineering (SSE) of Southeast University (SEU) was held at the seminar hall of the university on its campus at Tejgaon in the capital yesterday, says a press release. Maj Gen Kazi Fakhruddin Ahmed (retd), registrar of SEU, welcomed newly enrolled students. He discussed about rules, regulations and facilities of the University. Prof ANM Meshquat Uddin, vice-chancellor of SEU, chaired the programme while Engr Md Abdus Sabur, president of The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), was the chief guest. Dr Celia Shahnaz, chair, IEEE Bangladesh Section and Professor, EEE Department, BUET attended the programme as special guest and Md Maksudur Rahman, director of Gazipur Metropolitan College, was the guest of honour.
