Newly appointed State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmad yesterday said effective measures will be taken to lower the migration cost. He came with the remarks while exchanging views with the Reporters for Bangladeshi Migrants (RBM) at the Probashi Kalyan Bhaban in the city. Imran also said steps will be taken to make a database of the workers who return home from different countries.
He said necessary steps will be taken to ensure safety of the workers. Issuing a note of warning, the state minister said no corruption will be tolerated in exporting labours. "What happened in the past is not my business. I'll see what happens in the future."
