‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’, a 2018 American computer-animated superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales aka Spider-Man, is set to hit the screens of Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall of the capital today. Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Rothman, the film is produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.

The film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ is set in a shared multiverse called the “Spider-Verse”, which features different alternate universes. Here, bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway, Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers that transform him into the one and only Spider-Man after the death of real the Spider-man of his universe. Later, he meets Peter Parker from another universe, he soon realizes that there are many others who share his special, high-flying talents. Miles must now use his newfound skills to battle the evil Kingpin, a hulking madman who can open portals to other universes and pull different versions of Spider-Man in their world.

The film stars Shameik Moore as Morales, alongside Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Brian Tyree Henry, Lily Tomlin, Luna Lauren Velez, Zoë Kravitz, John Mulaney, Kimiko Glenn, Nicolas Cage, Kathryn Hahn, and Liev Schreiber. ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ had its world premiere at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles on December 1 and had a worldwide release in the United States on December 14 this year.
