The shooting of yet another joint venture film ‘Prahari’ by Jaaz Multimedia (Bangladesh) and Eskay Movies (India) is set to begin from coming November. Directed by Saikat Nasir, popular Bangladeshi actor Arefin Shuvo and model-turned-actress Nusraat Faria were supposed to pair up for the first time in the film. But finally, Nusraat Faria will not be seen opposite Shuvo in the film as the production houses have brought a massive change in the artiste line up for the film.
DhakaLive has news about the film’s latest recruitment for its heroine’s role that popular Kolkata actress Subhashree Ganguly is likely to replace actress Nusraat Faria to act as the heroine opposite Arefin Shuvo in the film. Saikat Nasir, the director of the film, said about the replacement in his film, “Faria has not been sent out from the film; rather, for the greater interest of the country, she is given a bigger chance. As the shooting of the films ‘Prahari’ and ‘Gawah: The Witness’ is going to begin at the same time, Faria will not be able to work in two films at a time. For this reason, considering the future of Faria and interest of the country, the local production house took this decision. I am not sure yet who will act in the position of Faria.”
Giving a little hint about the cast of the heroine, Jazz Multimedia CEO Alimullah Khokon said, “The hero of the film has already been selected from Bangladesh, so that the heroine will be taken from Kolkata for this joint venture film. Initial talk about recruiting new heroine was done with a few of Tollygunge actresses including Subhashree.” “Though no one signed for the role yet, everyone will come to know who will be the heroine of ‘Prahari’ by tomorrow”, he added.
The shooting of the film will take place in Dhaka, Bandarban, Sylhet, and Asam and Chennai in India. To note, it was not possible to catch Faria for the comments regarding the replacement in the film as she is currently out of the country. Faria’s debut film ‘Aashiqui’ was released on September 25 in the countrywide cinema halls, while it was released in Kolkata on September 18. Within the first week after the release of her first film, she had to leave yet another new film that she signed in recently. On the other hand, she has signed for a Bollywood film titled ‘Gawah: The Witness’ opposite Imran Hashmi—which might be considered as a big milestone in Nusraat’s early film career.
