‘Swapnajaal’ famed actor and model Yash Rohan and newbie actress Tasnia Farin have paired up for ‘Kangkhito Prohor,’ a tele-drama aimed at creating social awareness.
Based on true stories about specially-abled children, the tele-drama is written by Shilpi Sarkar Apu, Yash Rohan’s real-life mother.
“The story of the drama is based on true events. Many mothers of specially-abled children face an uneasy feeling while introducing themselves to the society. As they do not want to be ridiculed by the society, they want to keep their children’s identity a secret,” said Apu.
“However, this is not right”, she said, adding, “We have to support these special children and this is the main theme of the drama.”
DhakaLive has news that the shooting of ‘Kangkhito Prohor’ recently concluded at a school for specially-abled children in the Uttara area of the capital.
Contacted, Yash said he has prior experience of acting in a drama written by her mother.
“I was very young at that time. After a long hiatus, I have performed in another drama written by my mother. It was a special feeling,” he said.
Yash also praised Farin and said she did great.
Tasnia Farin also shared her experience and said she took pleasure spending time with the children of the school in her breaks during the shooting.
“I really liked working with Yash for the first time. I hope the drama will garner appreciation from the audience,” she said.
Bangladesh Television will telecast ‘Kangkhito Prohor’ as its weekly drama on December 29.
Meanwhile, Yash Rohan will celebrate his birthday today. Because of a packed schedule, he is likely to be busy with shooting the whole day after spending the morning with his family.
