Bangladesh will start another series against new-looked West Indies after winning Test and ODI series, the first match of the three-match Twenty20 series will begin at the picturesque Sylhet International Cricket Stadium (SICS) in Sylhet today. The match will be live telecast by private satellite television channel Gazi TV and state-owned Bangladesh Television kick off at the changed time of 12:30pm what has been fixed after being altered two times.

Bangladesh held their pre-match day practice at morning session, while West Indies did after Bangladesh's session. The Tigers will play to beat them and triumph the fixture by playing better brand of cricket though the opponents are good at T20 and current champion in this short format of game.

But the win at Florida against the visitors and last victories in Test and ODI will give them confidence to thrash them on home soil.

"We played well in the one-dayers and we should take a lot of confidence from that. We played well in the Test series, and that was fantastic. We couldn't ask for more," said Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes.

"But we are asking for more. We want the players to beat the West Indies in T20. They're ranked above us. They're world champions. We surprised them in Florida and surprised ourselves as well. But the plan is to go out there and win the series. We

desperately want to do it and it’s going to be a lot tougher than the other two series because this is the format West Indies excel at,” Rhodes told media after Bangladesh practice session for the T20 series yesterday.   “We’ll give it our best shot and hopefully we’ll be smiling at the end of it. Whatever happens we’re pleased with the way our progress is going at the moment,” he added.

West Indies captain Carlos Brathwaite on the other hand said that they will try to find out a way of winning by demonstrating their better brand of cricket though they are all struggle against local bowlers especially spinners throughout the tour. “We will turn up, play the best brand of cricket, and try to find ways to win,” Carlos Brathwaite said.
