BCB chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said Sunday that they will fare well in the ensuing Twenty20 international series against visiting T20 world champions West Indies though it will be tough and challenging for them.
“We have T20 series ahead that is starting tomorrow (Monday). The series against the West Indies will be very tough and challenging,” said Minhajul Abedin Nannu.
“West Indies are always very good side in shorter version. It’s in our mind. Then we’ll play on home soil. In the meantime, we’ve done well in Test and ODI series. In that sense, our expectation is very high,” Nannu told media. “But the way they are bowling, batting and fielding-all the departments- well, we are hopeful that the series will go on well,” he added.
The chief selector said that the stability in their performance has come for their utmost confidence to play on pitches.
“I think, our team is organised for any format of games. As the game will hold on our home soil, we got its advantage,” he said.
“Actually our players now know how to bat on what types of wickets. For this confidence of our players, the stability in their performance has come. I believe that we will do better in this series,” he added.
