Police arrested Chapainawabganj JCD leader Rajababu on Friday night for threatening to blow up a local daily office in the town.
Officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj Sadar police station Mazharul Islam said police arrested him from a cable operator’s office at Bidirpur square in the town around 8 pm on the basis of a complaint lodged by the editor of Dainik Chapai Chitra, Md Kamal Uddin.
Md Kamal Uddin said Rajababu, organizing secretary of the Chapainawabganj municipality unit of Jatyatabadi Jubo Dal along with 10/15 people came to his office at Hujrapur in the town on Thursday night and threatened the journalists to blow up the office with bombs.
The JCD man also gave the editor similar threat on kobile phone that night.
