The 2-day workshop of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakka (RAJUK) titled “Project Implementation Concept Workshop for Stakeholders” held at a hotel in the capital ended yesterday.
Around 250 participants from the World Bank, RAJUK and other relevant stakeholders from public and private sector took part in the workshop. The two day event was divided into different sessions where experts discussed technical issues with specific focus research, says a RAJUK press release.
The event began with an inauguration ceremony in presence of panelist from Ministries, IEB, World Bank, RAJUK and other relevant stakeholders. National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, vice-chancellor of University of Asia Pacific, was present as the chief guest.
The workshop was divided into six different technical sessions where the project implementation concepts to create & operationalize the Urban Resilience Unit (URU) and RAJUK, building code implementation & enforcement strategy for URU, vulnerability assessment & prioritized investment plan for critical assets in Dhaka for URU, development of risk sensitive land use planning practice within Dhaka city, assessing the current state and deploying a web-based integrated information management system for the construction permit system of RAJUK and design and supervision of URU building including research, training, and testing laboratory facilities under RAJUK were discussed.
