Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Mehazabien Chowdhury, who comprise one of those small-screen pairs most admired by viewers, came into the limelight on Valentine’s Day this year with their excellent performances in the tele-drama ‘Tumi Jodi Bolo’. They later appeared in multiple projects and made a lasting impression on their fans. Now, the popular duo is once again coming to the small screen on next year’s Valentine’s Day, with two new tele-dramas.
Under the direction of BU Shubho, the duo will appear together in tele-dramas titled ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘First Love’ respectively on two different satellite channels. Both the tele-dramas will be interlaced with romantic elements, disclosed Apurba and Mehazabien. DhakaLive has news that the shooting of both tele-dramas has already been concluded after taking place in various locations in the capital’s Uttara area.
“To be frank, it is not for us to claim ourselves to be a successful duo. Neither can a director do that. It is entirely up to the audience’s preferences. I am grateful to the audience for that. I believe the first rule of acting is to know the meaning of the dialogue before delivering it. Mehazabien also does the same thing. Her dedication to acting and the way she looks into all other little details have made her a professional and serious artiste,” Apurba said.
Mehazabien said, “I really respect the love audiences are showering on us by accepting us as an artiste duo. Because they like us, directors are offering work to both of us together. Every artiste that I have worked with till now has supported me. Ziaul Faruq Apurba has, from the beginning, been very cordial with me. He has always helped me understand. It is an achievement for me that the audiences are enjoying our dramas.” l
