Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested former deputy secretary of Bangladesh government Niyamatullah from his Dhanmondi residence in the city on early Tuesday.

Contacted, Director (Legal and Media wing) of the Rab headquarters Mufti Mahmood Khan said Rab-2 detained Niyamatullah on specific allegation. Legal ste is being pursued against him, Mufti Mahmood said.
