RAJSHAHI: All the government, semi-government and private offices, including banks and financial institutions, reopened with very low attendance of staff yesterday after the three-day Eid vacation, reports BSS. Attendance at the city bhaban, divisional commissioner and deputy commissioner offices, rail bhaban water development board, sericulture building, RDA bhaban, Barendra Bhaban, RMP headquarters and Roads and Highway building was also very thin as more than half of the officers and employees did not return. Officials said this situation would continue for some more days. The offices and courts will get their old look back from next couple of days or after the weekend. Festive mood is prevailing at most of the offices. Officials and staff were seen exchanging Eid greetings with their colleagues embracing and hugging each other. The holiday-seekers, who went to their villages to celebrate the Eid with their relatives, have slowly started to return to their working places. City streets still remain free from the usual chaotic snarl-up.
