Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered eight air guns smuggled from India at Daulatpur in Chowgachha upazila yesterday morning.

Being tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive near Daulatpur Government Primary School in the morning and recovered the air guns in an abandoned condition, said Lt Col Mohammad Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 battalion.

The air-guns were handed over to Chowgachha Police Station and a case was filed with the police station in this connection, he added.
