The five-day theatre festival Sharodiya Natya Utsab will come to an end today by staging the play ‘Boshikoron’ by the theatre troupe Sanskar Natyadal on the premises of Borodeswari Kali Mata Mandir in Rajarbag of the capital. The play ‘Boshikoron’, written by Rabindranath Tagore, highlights the ignorance and superstition of the earlier society. Although there is no provision of religious techniques or techniques to bring people to urban life, this practice is still engaged in the lives of rural people.
The play is rewritten and directed by Yusuf Hasan Arko. The probable casts of the play ‘Boshikoron’ include Manami Islam Kanak, Ashikur Rahman, Bappi Saif, Nadi Bappi, Ariful Islam, Pritha De and ND Chanchal and many other young dramatists.
With the slogan ‘Naree Soktir Bikash Sobhyotar Prokash’, Borodeswari Kali Mata Mandir has arranged the five-day theatre festival to celebrate the Durga Puja. The festival opened on Monday with the play Abdullah Al Mamun’s ‘Meraj Fakirer Ma’ starring veteran actor Ferdousi Mazumder in the lead role.
The festival also featured Dhaka Nandanik’s production ‘Norbore Bou’, Swapnadal’s play ‘Chitrangada’ and Bibekananda Theatre’s ‘Bisharjan’.
