The launching ceremony of a modern Bangla audio album titled ‘Kokhon Asbey Tumi’, presented by Bengal Foundation, will be held tomorrow at 7pm at the Chhayanaut auditorium in the capital.

DhakaLive has news that renowned singer Syed Abdul Hadi will unveil the cover of the album rendered by singer Mamun Zahid. After the launching ceremony, a musical performance by Mamun Zahid will also take place, where the singer will be rendering some of the songs from the album.

The album features as many as nine modern Bangla songs with the lyrics written by KG Mostafa.

Born into a culturally oriented family in Tangail, Mamun Zahid sings Rabindra Sangeet, modern songs and songs with own music compositions. Mamun Zahid started singing professionally under the mentorship of his maternal uncle Khondokar Moshiur Rahman. Later, he received training in classical music from Khondokar Nurul Alam, Sumon Chowdhury and Babu Rahman for 14 years.

He received RTV Star Award 2017 as the best male singer. He also performed in many foreign countries, namely India, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Germany, and the UK. Mamun Zahid is an enlisted artiste of Bangladesh Television and Bangladesh Radio.
