AIUB Engineering Jubilation (AEJ) 2018 held

The Department of Computer Engineering (CoE) and Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) organized a weeklong ‘AIUB Engineering Jubilation (AEJ) 2018’ on AIUB campus at Kuril in the capital on September 27, says a press release.

The weeklong programme included outdoor and indoor games, participated by both AIUB and numerous college students, interactive engineering contests, as well a cultural programme. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of chief guest chairman, Board of Trustees of AIUBMs Nadia Anwar, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB Prof Tafazzal Hossain, Vice President, (Academics) & Dean (FBA) of AIUB Prof Charles C Villanueva, dean of different faculties.  Vice-Chancellor of AIUB Dr Carmen Z Lamagna was present at the closing and prize distribution ceremony on October 1. In her speech she thanked the organising committee and department of CoE and EEE, for a memorable AEJ 2018. She also greeted the participants of college football and basketball winning teams and provided them with their champion’s and runner up trophies.

SUST Press Club gets new committee

SYLHET:  Members of Shahjalal University Press Club on Thursday elected the executive committee for the year of 2018-2019.

The election began at 10am on the campus and continued till 12am, said chief election commissioner Prof Muhsin Aziz Khan of Industrial and Production Engineering department.

The elected members are President Ziaul Islam (Amader Somoy), Vice-president Rifat Al Mamun (Daily Inqilab), General Secretary Junaid Ahmed (Daily Bhorer Kagoj), Joint-secretary Safakat Manzur (Daily Bonik Barta), Treasurer Enamul Haque Noman (Daily Naya Diganta), Office Secretary Mehde Kabir (Daily Jugantor).

The others office-bearers of the committee are Imran Hossain (bdnews24), Araf Ahmed (Daily Manabzamin), Moazzem Afran (Daily Sangbad) has been elected Executive Member.
