National Sanitation Month October-2018 began on Wednesday with the theme “Sustainable Development and Hygienic Sanitation” aimed at achieving cent per cent hygienic sanitation through consciousness raising campaign across the country, reports BSS.

Local Government Division Senior Secretary Dr Zafar Ahmed Khan formally inaugurated the month-long campaign at a function at the Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) auditorium in Dhaka. UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh Edouard Beigbeder and WaterAid Bangladesh Country Director Dr Md Khairul Islam joined the function as the special guests with LGD Additional Secretary Roksana Qader in the chair.
