The grand finale of Bengali linguistic competition and TV reality show ‘Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid’ season 2 is set to be held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital tomorrow. Living legend singer Runa Laila will entertain the audience with her mesmerising vocal at the grand finale.
‘Banglabid’ was one of the most popular TV reality shows in the country last year. Ispahani Mirzapore has taken this initiative to motivate the young generation to practice and use Bengali language in the right manner.
Six children from thousands of competitors will participate on the grand finale. They are--Karin Ashraf from Dhaka, Afia Ibnat Shuchi from Rangpur, Sadia Afroz Antu from Rangpur, Ehsanul Kadir from Khulna, Dhruba Mandal from Barisal and Debasmita Saha from Chattogram.
The best ‘Banglabid’ of the country will get a merit scholarship worth 10 lakh taka. The first and second runners up will get 3 lakh and 2 lakh taka each respectively. Besides, the first 10 winners will receive a laptop along with Bengali books and a bookshelf to create their own library.
Dr Soumitra Shekhar, renowned writer and poet Anisul Hoque, media personality Tropa Majumder are working as judges in the programme. Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Chairman Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed will be present as guest judge at the grand finale. Channel i will telecast the programme from 7:35pm tomorrow.
