Focusing on the tough match against Philippines to be held  tomorrow coach Jamie Day began full fledged practice with his boys after having a rest day on Tuesday following their first match win against Laos.

Bangladesh team had their one and half an hour practice session at the Sylhet BKSP ground despite a huge hot and humidity when the English coach Jamie mostly worked with the forwards when he took special care to Mahbubur Rahman Shufil, Nabib Newaz Jibon, Biplu Ahmed and Robiul Meah, who did plenty of mistakes during the finishing hour, as they looked very reckless inside the penalty area.

It could be mentioned that Bangladesh had every chance to win the first with at least by 4-0 margin in their first match but due to some silly missteps of the forwards being trouble-free inside area the hosts boys had to leave with a solitary goal win.

However, the coach looked very serious at the BKSP ground with the forwards how to overcome blunders at the eleventh hour.

Goalkeeper Ashraful Islam Rana , who was talking to the reporters after the practice also said, “In the first match we had some mistakes at the forward zone, there were plenty of miss passes and slip-ups during the finishing hour, coach is very much concerned and discussed with the forwards those issues, so the reason to work specially with the forwards, as we can take lead with perfect finish at early hour.”

Ashraful Rana, who replaced keeper Shahidul Alam Sohel did not overlook to recall his mistakes under the bar in the first match when Bangladesh narrowly escaped from conceding goal, as he said, “As goalkeeper, I also did also some mistakes and worked with those and watch video at hotel room to repeat and worked today to resolve.”

Rana also agreed that their match against the Philippines would be very tough for them when he said, “The match against Philippines would be a big test for us and the match against stronger opponents the responsibilities of a goalkeeper and the defenders become very high. The result of the match maximum depends on the goalkeeper and the defenders. If I (goalkeeper) can play well along with the defenders team will do good result.”

Rana, who is happy with the defense of the team said, “I am happy with our defense line, I played behind this back-four eight games including Asian Games, in a sense it is the same set up, I think our defense line is good.”

Topu Barman, the stopper back of the team also talked after the practice when he said about some of their strategy with the defense zone against the Philippines match.

“We will try to play safe and sound football. We did some mistakes and coach discussed with us. Our only duty will be not to take any risk. We will try to maintain a good combination with the goalkeeper.

Topu also agreed about the weaknesses of forward line and they worked on the mistakes of finishing hour.

“We also worked on finishing skills but it would be important to keep the clean-sheet and we will try to maintain it.
