Customs officials arrested a man along with 3 pieces of gold bars, worth Tk 14lakh, in Benapole yesterday morning.  The arrestee was identified as Mahedi Hasan 32, a resident of Damra area of Dhaka district.  

Jakir Hossain, deputy commissioner of Benapole custom house, said acting on tip-off, the customs officials conducted a drive in the check post area of Benapole and arrested a man with 3 gold bars. The gold bars were deposited to Benapole Customs House.  A case was filed in this connection.
