Ahead of the country’s parliamentary elections, the government has carried out a reshuffle in the field administration by transferring 10 Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 10 districts yesterday. The DCs, who were serving as DCs over last two years at their duty stations, have been withdrawn and replaced them by posting 10 Deputy Secretaries (DSs) as DCs.
Of the new DCs: DS of Public administration ministry Kabir Mahmud has been transferred as DC of Barguna, DS of secondary and higher secondary division Abu Ali Md Sajjad Hossain was made DC of Pirojpur, foreign minister's personal secretary Hayat-ud-Daula Khan has been transferred as DC of Brahmanbaria, DS of local government division Md Shahidul Islam was made DC of Tangail, DS of same division Anjuman Ara has been posted as DC of Narail, General Manager of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation Mohammad Golam Rahman was made Dc of Natore, DS of primary and mass education ministry Gopal Chandra Das has been transferred as DC of Chuadanga, DS of health services division Md Ali Akbar was made Dc of Magura, DS of housing and public works ministry SM Mostafa Kamal has been transferred as DC of Satkhira and housing and public works minister’s personal secretary Foyez Ahmed was made DC of Bogura. The public administration ministry issued a notification in this regard yesterday.
