Members of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) yesterday night arrested the son-in-law of Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, executed killer of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, from city's Hatirjheel area for posting derogatory comments against Bangabandhu on Facebook, reports UNB. Fuad Zaman, the husband of Shehnaz Rashid Khan, daughter of Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan, was detained on charges of giving a post on Facebook praising the killers of Bangabandhu and making 'derogatory comments' against him, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. The team also seized his mobile phone, the official added. On August 15, Fuad, in a Facebook post, praised the killers of Bangabandhu and sought the salvation of those departed souls, police said adding that he also termed the killing as a 'good job'. Later on August 30, a case was filed with Dhanmondi Police Station under the ICT Act. Fuad will be produced before a court here with seven-day remand prayer, said the deputy commissioner. Sultan Shahriar Rashid Khan was executed on January 27, 2010.
