Anisur Rahman Milon and Golam Farida Chhanda are set to appear in a tele-drama titled ‘Orchid-er Swapno’, which will be aired on Gazi TV at 9:30pm today.

Based on Rabindranath Tagore’s poem-in-motion ‘Camellia’, the script of this tele-drama is written by Najnin Hasan Chumki and directed by Dipu Hazra.

DhakaLive has news that under the title ‘Shahittey Prem-er Galpo’, a unique segment by GTV on their Eid schedule, characters from famous stories will be brought to contemporary settings. ‘Orchid-er Swapno’ is part of this segment.

Here the story begins with Jisan, a handsome guy with little education. He quits his studies and eventually becomes a gangster. He has a lot of people working under him. He, however, falls in love with a pretty lady named Camellia and follows her everywhere. He tries to catch her attention.

But when Jisan slaps a waiter for spilling water on him by accident, Camellia gets furious and reprimands him. Later, Camellia is nowhere to be found. Jishan searches for her, but eventually comes to know that she is leaving Dhaka with her family. He hurries to the bus station, but cannot find her. Jisan comes home, pensive and dejected.

The other cast includes Amin Azad, Sujat Shimul, Asif Nazrul, Tabassum Mithila,  Imtiyaj Mehedi Hasan and others.
